Summary:
The Certified Surgical Technologist contributes to the company's mission and values by treating patients, visitors and staff with a friendly, helpful demeanor both in person and over the phone. Operates independently as well as cooperatively; maintains professional and effective working relationships with teammates; vendors and physicians. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure quality and timely patient care. Possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures. Under direct supervision of the RN circulator, the surgical technologist may assist with delegated tasks. This includes, ensuring the quality/quantity of sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment for Surgical Services. Maintains and evaluates operations to assure compliance to infection control standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- High School diploma

Graduate of Accredited program with current certification, and maintenance of the CST credential
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in an operating room preferred

Two-year health care clinical experience in Surgical Technology preferred
