At Kentala Behavioral Health, we provide compassionate, evidenced-based care to individuals across Virginia. We are a new business, and we are growing quickly. Our tagline is, "We take care of those who take care of everyone else." We specialize in PTSD, trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. We are looking for a LPC who is passionate about helping clients grow into their authentic selves, heal, and thrive.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy sessions to adults (18+) employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), narrative therapy, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), internal family systems (IFS), person centered theory, and others.
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations to include the PCL5, PHQ9, GAD, and others.
- Develop and monitor personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards, treatment planning guidelines, and HIPAA regulations.
- Provide therapy sessions both in person and via telehealth.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions, maintaining compliance with clinical ethical guidelines and medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with team members to continue individual growth and education.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EMR), including progress notes, medical records, and treatment summaries.
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy modalities for PTSD, trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety.
- Proven ability to work effectively with adults, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), co-occurring disorders, and those experiencing PTSD or chronic pain.
- Competence in delivering services via telehealth therapy platforms while adhering to HIPAA confidentiality standards.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and treatment procedures; knowledge of DSM-5 diagnosis.
- Ability to conduct mental health assessments using evidence-based practices;
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams; commitment to ethical clinical practices aligned with HIPAA regulations.
- Knowledge of Google a plus.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
