As our Behavioral Health Division continues to grow, we are seeking compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Professionals to provide high-quality behavioral health services to individuals experiencing mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.

Position Summary
As an Independent Contractor, you will provide behavioral health assessment, counseling, treatment planning, and clinical interventions for children, adolescents, and adults receiving community-based behavioral health services.
Clinicians work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team while maintaining the flexibility to determine their availability and accepted referrals.

Licensed and provisionally licensed professionals including:
- Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
- Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A)
- Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS)
- Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCAS-A)
- Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A)
Responsibilities
- Conduct behavioral health assessments and screenings.
- Develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy within your scope of practice.
- Deliver evidence-based behavioral health interventions.
- Collaborate with Peer Support Specialists, CADCs, Care Managers, medical providers, and community partners.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and Medicaid-compliant clinical documentation.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
- Support crisis prevention, stabilization, and recovery-oriented care.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and licensing standards.

- Substance Use Counseling (when appropriately credentialed)
- SAIOP
- SACOT
- Community-Based Services
- Telehealth Services (when clinically appropriate and payer-approved)
Qualifications Required
- Active North Carolina licensure or associate licensure in an eligible behavioral health discipline.
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred
- Experience providing Medicaid-funded behavioral health services.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or families.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Local travel within assigned service areas may be required.

Independent Contractor Information
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity.
Contractors:
- Set their own availability.
- Accept referrals based on program needs and their schedule.
- Maintain active licensure and professional liability insurance.
- Are responsible for their own federal, state, and local taxes.
- Provide services in accordance with Medicaid, payer, licensing, and professional practice standards.
Hours and caseload are based on referrals and accepted assignments and are not guaranteed.
