Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Attendant to provide in-home assistance and support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities and companionship. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a home or assisted living environment. We serve Anaheim, Fullerton, Chino, Corona and its surrounding areas in Riverside and North Orange counties. Our office is based in Corona. This is a part-time position with the possibility of full-time shifts as the program grows.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' social well-being.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Assist with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health regimens.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Skills
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) or similar role
- Experience or knowledge in social work, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Proficient in meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to client needs.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals, demonstrating patience and understanding.
- Strong lifting skills to assist clients safely as needed.
- Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
