Position Description:
We are seeking a dependable Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment. This hands-on position is responsible for cleaning shop facilities, operating floor cleaning equipment, emptying waste bins using a forklift, and assisting with light maintenance and organization tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and takes pride in keeping work areas clean and well-maintained. Previous experience operating a forklift or floor scrubber is preferred but not required.
This is a day shift position, working from 6:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain shop areas, including floors, restrooms, break room, locker room, and storage areas.

Operate walk-behind floor scrubber to clean shop floors and walkways. Sweep and mop break rooms and smaller areas.

Empty trash and waste bins by safely operating a forklift to transport and dump bins into dumpster.

Perform light maintenance and shop organization tasks as assigned.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience operating a floor sweeper/scrubber and forklift preferred.

Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic required.

Ability to manage time effectively, follow direction, and work as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to independently lift and carry up to 50 lb. and push/pull up to 75 lb.

Ability to stand, walk, bend/squat, kneel, and twist on a frequent basis.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Ability to climb ladders/stairs and maintain balance while performing work.

This position may require some sedentary duty.
Benefits:

$25.18 per hour with overtime paid after 40 hours per week.
