MACHINE OPERATOR II
Job Type: Manufacturing / Production
Position Summary
Envision is seeking a Machine Operator II to safely and efficiently operate manufacturing equipment used to produce products according to specifications, quality standards, and production goals. This position may also assemble products using an ODM table and perform various production tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organize production for assigned product lines based on weekly/monthly production schedules.
- Assist with setting up materials using hand trucks or electric trucks.
- Select and run the appropriate machine program for each production job.
- Operate corner-cutting machinery, including Thomas Machinery and sheeters.
- Safely and efficiently operate production machinery.
- Load the appropriate materials into machine feeders.
- Unload completed products onto pallets or designated storage containers.
- Perform initial and random quality checks throughout production.
- Obtain required Quality signoff before beginning full production runs.
- Troubleshoot minor machine adjustments as needed.
- Clean machines, including glue equipment, at the end of each shift or according to management's schedule.
- Maintain accurate downtime logs.
- Record production using an RF gun and/or tablet/PC in the ERP system.
- Record and properly dispose of scrap materials as directed.
- Operate glue spreaders.
- Assemble boards and paper using the ODM casemaking system.
- Sew oversized materials as required.
- Assist with injection molding processes and component production.
- Read, understand, and follow work orders and specification sheets.
- Maintain an organized work area to support an efficient workflow.
- Work under general supervision while demonstrating the ability to self-manage for extended periods.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Experience
- Previous work experience required.
- Manufacturing or production experience preferred.

Physical & Work Environment
This position requires the ability to perform hands-on manufacturing and production activities, including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, crouching, or kneeling as needed.
- Repetitive hand movements, grasping, and fine manipulation.
- Operating machinery and power tools at or within arm's reach.
- Inspecting products for defects and using measuring devices.
- Reading work orders, specifications, and computer screens.
- Assembling parts and materials requiring close visual attention.
- Working around moving mechanical parts and production equipment.
- Exposure to general shop conditions, machinery noise, and airborne particles or fumes may occur.
Vision Requirements
The position requires normal or corrected-to-normal vision sufficient to:
- Read documents and computer screens.
- Inspect small objects for defects.
- Analyze data and figures.
