Scherer Inc. is in need of a motivated individual to assist continued growth! Scherer Inc. produces replacement kernel processor rolls, offers a complete line of mill rolls for both stationary and portable roller mills and provides a full-service manual machining service for both repair and small production runs.
Work shift will be 4 10-hour days, Monday - Thursday. Great benefits and wages! Minimal travel may be required.
Qualifications
-CNC Machinist schooling or experience as a machinist
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge
- Proficiency in horizontal and vertical milling
- Experience in manufacturing and machining processes
- Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments
- Proficient in CNC lathe & horizontal milling operation
- Knowledge of Mazatrol, CNC programming, and GD&T
- Ability to use hand tools, tooling, and power tools efficiently
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and assembly processes
Responsibilities
In the role of CNC Machinist, your responsibilities will include:
- Programming and operating CNC machines for precision machining.
- Utilizing Mazatrol system for efficient production.
- Training and setting up machines for operators
- Applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and optimize CNC lathe & milling operations.
- Using power tools and hand tools for assembly and machining tasks.
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
