Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories.
- Assist in the administration of medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Support healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures
- Perform basic life support techniques and maintain knowledge of emergency protocols.
- Engage with patients to provide exceptional service and address their needs effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Exhibit knowledge of anatomy to assist in patient assessments and care planning.
- Work collaboratively with the medical team to enhance patient outcomes, especially in geriatrics and hospital medicine settings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital environment is preferred.
- Strong skills in patient care, including familiarity with vital signs monitoring and medication administration.
- Basic life support certification is required; additional certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
- Knowledge of anatomy and experience working with geriatric patients is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
