A national leader in the manufacture industry seeks a Plant Mechanic for its Houston, TX facility. We offer a positive and flexible work environment for the Plant Mechanic who will be a key team member in our expanding operation.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain production line systems and equipment in order to maximize production line up-time.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and controls problems on conveyors, filling systems, and automated equipment.
- Maintain plant utility systems including: HVAC, chilled water, and compressed air.
- Communicate daily with production supervisors regarding production line and equipment status.
- Manage equipment spare parts and tools inventories.
- Participate in plant safety programs.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years experience in manufacturing operations
- 3+ years as mechanic or technician
- Equipment troubleshooting experience
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. Ability to tolerate (climate uncontrolled) warehouse environment.
- With ability to speak Spanish
Special Consideration for Candidates
- Technical training (Associates Degree)
- With electrical/controls experience
- With bottle or jar fill manufacturing experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
