Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Director to lead our facilities and industrial maintenance operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing the maintenance team, managing complex systems, and ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of manufacturing and facility infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the maintenance department, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to maximize equipment uptime.
- Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), low voltage, high voltage, and industrial systems.
- Manage projects related to facilities upgrades, equipment installations, and system upgrades with effective planning and resource allocation.
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards related to electrical work (including high voltage) and industrial maintenance practices.
- Coordinate with management to plan maintenance schedules that minimize production disruptions while maintaining operational excellence.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment history, inspections, and repairs using CMMS tools.
- Supervise technicians and contractors; provide mentorship to develop technical skills within the team.
- Monitor energy consumption (including HVAC systems) to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance environments with strong leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical systems (including low voltage and high voltage), and mechanical components.
- Hands-on experience with CMMS software for tracking work orders, asset management, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical troubleshooting (using tools like ohmmeters), industrial maintenance practices, and safety protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and collaboration across departments.
- Experience working within manufacturing or industrial settings with a focus on facilities management.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and manuals accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
- Knowledge of project management principles to oversee upgrades or new installations efficiently.
