SUMMARY
This position requires excellent leadership skills along with the ability to monitor workflow in a fast-paced distribution operation, oversee coaching, and lead fellow associates in a productive and professional manner. Will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Distribution Center. You will need to actively communicate any personnel, productivity, or inventory issues with the warehouse manager on a daily basis. Will be required to communicate effectively with all departments as needed.

This is a hands-on position helping employees in the warehouse with everyday duties such as unloading, putting products, picking, and loading.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises shipping employees in the day-to-day activities in the shipping department
- Delegates daily tasks to employees
- Holds employees accountable for achieving productivity goals
- Ensure that all parcel orders are shipped by the end of the business day
- Distribute workload to the team daily according to schedules and managers' discretion
- Warehouse performances daily cycle count and meets inventory accuracy of at a high level
- Maintains customer order accuracy at a high level
- Answers email within 2 hrs
- Processes returns to insure they are processed within 72 hrs
- Processes Receipts and inter company transfers in a timely manner
- Trains and mentors new employees
- Manages any overages or stray products from pickers
- Ensures daily activities and staffing requirements as planned are executed
- Ensure staff is fully trained on assigned tasks and organize ongoing cross-training of employees
- Keep overtime at an acceptable level determined by management
- Assist manager on holding weekly start-up meetings
- Coaches and counsels employees on miss pulls and other errors
- Abids and enforces all Company/OSHA safety rules and practices
- Keep all aisles clear of stray pallets and products
- Ensures weekly operation checklist are completed
- Ensure Monthly safety meeting are completed
SAFETY & SECURITY
- Conducts mandatory safety training sessions with warehouse personnel to maintain OSHA compliance.
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment at all times.
- Ensure all employees operating forklifts are certified and employees wear safety gear as needed for performing tasks
- Ensure established policies and procedures are followed, inventory discrepancies, inventory shrinkages and any mishandling of company property
- Participate and lead safety meetings
- Proper use of company equipment and safety gear at all times in accordance with established company procedures
- Keeps clean, safe and organized work areas
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to effectively communicate and work with all levels of D.C. personnel
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work in multiple systems
- Ability to input and retrieve data are a must
- Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and regulations (OSHA)
- Experience in a distribution environment experience preferred
- Requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goal of the warehouse
- Ability to respond to situations in a prompt and professional manner

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear, to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, and to frequently bend, stoop, and kneel. The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and lift with arms, shoulder, and legs. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Any product over 50 lbs requires two-person lift.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work time is spent in a warehouse environment around moving powered industrial equipment, where temperatures are hot or cold (seasonally), and frequently may be subjected to loud noises.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
