Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Teacher for our PreK3 through 2nd Grade classroom, specializing in a hybrid model that combines traditional teaching with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques facilitated by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT). The ideal candidate will possess a passion for early childhood education, a deep understanding of childhood development, and experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism. This role offers an engaging environment where educators can make a meaningful impact on young learners’ academic and social growth while collaborating closely with behavioral specialists. All positions are compensated and designed to foster professional development within a supportive educational setting. The goal is to be full time teaching position by the following school year.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating literacy, math, and social-emotional learning strategies.
- Collaborate with RBTs to deliver individualized behavioral interventions that support students’ unique needs and promote positive behavior management.
- Engage students through interactive activities that foster physical education, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
- Maintain an organized classroom environment conducive to learning, ensuring safety and engagement at all times.
- Use learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and assess student progress regularly.
- Mentor and support students in developing essential skills in reading, writing, numeracy, and social interaction.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student development and prepare detailed reports for parents and administrative staff.
- Participate in professional development opportunities focused on special education practices, Montessori methods, or early intervention techniques to continually improve instructional effectiveness.
Skills
- Proven experience in early childhood education or elementary teaching within private or public school settings.
- Strong classroom management skills that promote a positive learning environment for young children.
- Expertise in curriculum development tailored to PreK3 through 2nd grade levels, including literacy education and math instruction.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education and integrating movement into daily lessons.
- Experience working with children with autism or other special needs using ABA principles or behavior management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and specialists.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and tutoring techniques to support academic achievement.
- Ability to utilize learning technology platforms and library services to enrich the educational experience.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
