Job Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional food experiences. In this vital role, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, foster a positive, efficient work environment as well as cook on the line, prepare food and perform any necessary kitchen tasks.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently delivered.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and development to enhance skills in food handling, safety procedures, and culinary techniques.
- Oversee inventory control, manage stock levels, and minimize waste to optimize food costs.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations by enforcing proper food safety practices and sanitation standards.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow during shifts and handle customer feedback professionally.
- Cook, prep, clean, and perform any other kitchen tasks required.
- Manage shift scheduling, staffing levels, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and productive team environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in kitchen supervision and training.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts with a focus on quality control.
- Excellent understanding of inventory control and food safety standards.
- Experience with staff training & development programs to build a skilled culinary team.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to work weekdays 3 pm until approximately 10:30/11:30 pm; weekends 10:30 am until approximately 10:30/11:30 pm
Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
