American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency, with no first-time travelers considered.

Hospital Labor & Delivery unit with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
-
Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery cases
-
Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
-
Performs and assists with a wide range of procedures including blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and medication management (heparin, insulin, magnesium sulfate)

Attends all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
-
Roles include circulating, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrub, low-risk antepartum, and low-risk L&D
-
Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30

Floating required to postpartum and NICU based on skill set

Charting performed in Epic (experience required)

Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required

Required certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate

ACLS preferred

Epic EMR experience required

At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration

SSN and DOB required for consideration

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination

Former permanent staff of this specific Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Former permanent staff of other Providence (non-Swedish) facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation period
-
Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; excessive time-off requests may negatively impact placement

All active required certifications must be current at time of consideration
