Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Decorator for the Hello Kitty Café bakery and wholesale production team. The ideal candidate has a passion for creating visually appealing desserts, takes pride in precision, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. This role requires someone dependable, organized, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, cleanliness, and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pastries, and other bakery items according to company standards
- Apply icing, fondant, edible images, sprinkles, chocolate décor, and other finishing touches with precision and consistency
- Follow decorating guides, recipes, and presentation standards
- Ensure all products are completed accurately and ready for daily production and customer orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary decorating station
- Properly store and handle decorating supplies and finished products
- Assist with general bakery production and support other kitchen operations as needed
- Collaborate with the bakery team to ensure timely completion of daily production
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Safely operate bakery equipment and decorating tools
Requirements:
- Great attitude and team player
- Minimum 1 year of cake decorating, pastry decorating, or bakery experience
- Experience working with buttercream, fondant, piping techniques, and edible decorations preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce consistent, high-quality work
- Ability to follow decorating guides, recipes, and production schedules
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Frequent bending, reaching, climbing, and repetitive hand motions
- Ability to safely operate bakery equipment and decorating tools in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $19.00 per hour
