We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Material Handler to join a dynamic warehouse team for a 12-hour shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse environment. Your expertise will ensure smooth operations in shipping, receiving, order picking, and heavy equipment handling. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to safety standards. Duties
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory movements and update records.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders with precision using pickers and other order picking tools to meet customer specifications.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Conduct manual handling of materials, including heavy lifting, with adherence to OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain organized storage areas by stacking pallets safely and ensuring proper placement of materials.
- Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment activities to support accurate stock levels.
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and clamp trucks for large or bulky items while adhering to safety protocols.
- Support warehouse supervisors by maintaining cleanliness, safety compliance, and operational efficiency throughout the facility.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow processes related to load & unload activities.
Qualifications
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and perform manual tasks during 12-hour shifts.
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles within a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and crane operation.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory control procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of heavy equipment operation and basic mechanical knowledge.
- Prior experience in construction or industrial settings is advantageous.
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safety standards outlined by OSHA.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory management.
- Effective communication skills suitable for diverse teams across global operations.
