American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, requiring 5 years of L&D experience in a Level 1 trauma setting and active AHA certifications including NRP Advanced Provider or Instructor.

Night shift schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Current certifications required (American Heart Association only): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor

Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred

Minimum of 5 years of L&D experience in a Level 1 trauma setting

Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience

Proficiency in nursing theory, practices, and techniques related to Labor & Delivery

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

Responsible for managing an assigned patient group, documenting responses to nursing interventions, and monitoring physiological data
-
Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products, and assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge information; makes referrals and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (extensions are limited to one time, for a total of 26 weeks)

Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — onboarding must begin immediately upon booking and all requirements must be completed by the stated due date
