We are looking for a special full-time or part-time veterinary technician and/or assistant to help complete our already awesome veterinary cardiology team. We are a group of board-certified veterinary cardiologists, experienced RVTs, assistants, a pharmacy tech, and client service reps; everyone on the team matters and we function together as a work-family. Most of us have worked together for at least five years, with several over 15 years. We love what we do because we make a difference.
We are looking for an additional assistant and/or technician--either full-time or part time for our outpatient cardiology appointments. The ideal candidate would possess good people skills and technical skills. Wages negotiable based on education, experience, and credentials. Our team members work 8 to 10-hour shifts. For the applicant seeking part time hours, we are looking for Mondays +/- one other day. For the applicant seeking full time hours, the shift would likely be 4 ten-hour shifts, business hours, with 3 days off. 8-hour shifts may be considered, as desired.
Our cardiology department works with companion animals with heart disease, helping to diagnose and treat a variety of heart conditions. We believe that through knowledge and communication, dogs and cats with heart disease can live joyful and dignified lives. Our philosophy emphasizes a true partnership between the pet's family, the pet's primary veterinarian, and the veterinary cardiologist.
With three cardiologists, and other supporting veterinarians, our doctors work collaboratively to provide comprehensive care.
The cardiology department at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center is an outpatient service with inpatient and emergency capabilities. Cardiologists are available 5 to 6 days per week. We are proud to serve our patients and clients with the support of the hospital's fully integrated ICU and ER. We are here for our patients 24/7 but the cardiology department works outpatient/appointment hours.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
