About the Position:
Our disability law firm in Plano is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist (Legal) to provide administrative support to multiple departments and legal assistants.
The ideal candidate is organized, communicates professionally, follows through on assigned tasks, and is comfortable managing a variety of administrative responsibilities.
Training is conducted in our Plano office. After successful completion of training and once management determines the employee is ready to work independently, remote work may be considered.
Pay: $17.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients by phone and email
- Contact the Social Security Administration for claim updates and follow-up
- Manage cases across multiple databases
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, emails, and other documents
- Request, receive, and submit medical records and evidence
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and follow up as needed
- Provide administrative support to any department as requested
Requirements (All Required)
Applicants must:
- Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
- Live within approximately 15 miles of our Plano office during the training period (relocation assistance is not provided)
- Must have good attendance and arrive for work on time
- Have strong customer service and communication skills
- Be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PDFs, and type at least 40 WPM
- Work well as part of a team and be willing to assist multiple departments
- Have reliable internet and phone service for remote work when approved
Additional Information:

- Typing and computer proficiency tests are part of the interview process
- Employment begins with a 60-day probationary period, which may be extended to 90 days at management's discretion
- Benefits begin after successful completion of the probationary period
- Our office is closed from Christmas Eve through New Year's Day
- Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day are paid holidays after probation is completed. The remaining office closure days are unpaid unless PTO is used.
- Our office is closed on Fridays. Therefore, this position begins at 36 hours per week. Once remote work is approved, employees may have the opportunity to increase to 40 hours per week.
