Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Toddler Teacher in a part-time position to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our Episcopalian-based early childhood education program starting in September. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages, and foster a safe, stimulating environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and joy. Duties
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a lively and engaging atmosphere that supports toddler development across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains.
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans incorporating curriculum development principles
- Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, creating an environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, developmental milestones, and any special education or childcare needs.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of classroom management and educational support.
- Conduct assessments to monitor individual progress and inform instructional strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, child welfare standards, and licensing requirements while maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, specifically with toddlers or preschool-aged children.
- NJ group or head teacher qualifications required, must have degree in education or current CDA.
- Strong background in childhood development theories, curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering a nurturing environment.
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
