This is our 6th and newest location and provides large play therapy offices, a therapy kitchen, and an outdoor therapy space.
About Us
The Family Center of Maine provides outpatient psychotherapy services for individuals, couples, and families. With the opening of our new Play Therapy and Training Center in Saco, we are expanding opportunities for clinicians who want to specialize in play-based interventions and evidence-based care for children and adolescents.

Position Highlights: Focus on Play Therapy & Training
- Specialize in play therapy with dedicated spaces designed for creative, developmentally appropriate interventions.
- Access ongoing training and workshops tailored to child and family therapy.

In-Person Work Environment
- All services provided at our new Play Therapy and Training Center on Community Drive in Saco.
Empowered Scheduling
- Collaborative scheduling to align with your professional and personal goals.
- Current shifts:
- Weekdays: 10 AM–6 PM or 11 AM–7 PM
- Weekends: 9 AM–5 PM
Billable Hours Requirement
- Minimum of 20 billable hours per week.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Pay: $55–$60/hour (based on licensure), with annual raises of $5/hour. Rates reach $70/hour by your two-year anniversary.
- Weekend Boost: $20/hour bonus for in-office weekend sessions (starting at $75/hour conditional, $80/hour fully licensed).

Clinical Supervision & Professional Development
- Individual & Group Supervision (free, meets Maine licensure requirements).

Administrative Support
- Dedicated admin team handles billing, insurance, scheduling, and reminders so you can focus on therapy.
- In-network with major insurers (Anthem, United Healthcare, Harvard Pilgrim, Aetna, Community Health Options, Martin’s Point).
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a master’s-level clinical license, such as:
- LCSW / LMSW-CC
- LCPC / LCPC-C
- LMFT / LMFT-C
Special consideration for clinicians with training in play therapy or those pursuing RPT (Registered Play Therapist) credentials.
