JOB GOAL:
To assist professional staff members by performing a variety of tasks related to the operation of classrooms or other instructional areas.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the teacher with planned activities and instructional programs.
-
Record and file statistical data, grades, and reports.
-
Assist in preparing instructional materials for daily instruction as planned by the teacher; set up and operates audiovisual equipment; type educational materials; ability to use and operate copy machines, and computers.

Assist the teacher in maintaining individual student records.
-
Assist in supervising students in the classroom, lunchroom, and on the playground under the supervision of a district certified staff member.
-
Presents subject matter to students, utilizing variety of methods and techniques such as lecture, discussion, and supervised role-playing, under the supervision of the teacher.
-
Prepares, administers, and grades examinations.
-
Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.
-
Confers with parents on progress of students.
-
Perform other job duties as assigned.
