Operating Room Technician
Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center is growing and seeking a dedicated Operating Room Technician to join our Surgical Services team.
The Operating Room Technician plays a vital role in supporting surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile environment, preparing operating rooms and surgical instruments, and assisting surgeons during procedures. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, this individual helps ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience.

- Full-Time
- 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Four days per week
- On-call rotation required
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection prevention standards.
- Assemble, prepare, and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
- Set up and break down surgical cases efficiently and accurately.
- Demonstrate clinical competency while providing care to diverse patient populations.
- Assist in ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative process.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and sound clinical judgment.
- Maintain compliance with all Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and Department of Surgery safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize supplies and resources responsibly while supporting departmental budget goals.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Surgical Technologist certification.
- Previous Operating Room experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and operating room procedures.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
