Customer Service Repair Representative

We specialize in the installation of hardwood, carpet, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), tile, and other flooring products for residential homes. We are seeking an experienced and dependable Customer Service Repair Representative to join our team and help ensure every customer receives the highest level of care long after installation is complete.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose flooring concerns to determine whether issues are related to installation, product defects, environmental conditions, or normal wear and tear.
- Complete repairs including:
- Carpet stretching and seam repairs
- Carpet patching and replacement
- Hardwood board replacement and repairs
- LVP plank replacement and repairs
- Trim, transition, and finishing repairs
- Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship while minimizing disruption to the homeowner.
- Clearly explain repair procedures, expectations, and outcomes to homeowners in a professional and courteous manner.
- Document all work performed with detailed notes and photographs in addition to communicating findings to the Customer Service Department.
- Identify additional materials required for repairs and coordinate ordering with the office.
- Maintain inventory of repair materials, tools, and supplies.
- Keep company vehicle, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of flooring installation experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of hardwood, carpet, and LVP installation and repair techniques.
- Ability to diagnose flooring issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physical work including kneeling, bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic smartphone or tablet skills for documenting repairs with photos and notes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing warranty or service repairs.
- Experience working in occupied residential homes.
- OSHA safety training is a plus.
