Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions accurately.
- Handle cash and perform cash handling duties with precision.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers.
- Assist in merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring products are well-stocked.
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the store, including stocking shelves as needed.
- Utilize basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales and inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and enhance the shopping experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred, particularly in a grocery store environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Supervising experience is a plus, showcasing leadership potential within the team.
- Familiarity with product demos and merchandising strategies is advantageous.
- Proficient in phone etiquette for customer inquiries via phone communication.
- Basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling and retail math tasks.
