Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, with a focus on fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves working with toddlers and preschool-aged children, implementing engaging curriculum activities, and promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development through various teaching methods, including Reggio Emilia principles.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes holistic development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster positive relationships and support each child's individual needs.
- Manage classroom behavior by employing effective behavior management strategies to promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their safety, well-being, and developmental needs are met throughout the day.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s development.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with disabilities or special needs, ensuring all students receive equitable access to education.
Experience
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in daycare settings or private schools is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Reggio Emilia teaching methods is a plus.
- Proven ability to develop engaging curriculum tailored to the needs of young children.
- Experience working with children who have disabilities or special needs is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and fellow educators.
