Overview
The Drinks Company is a Miami-based wholesale beverage distributor with 13 years in the market. We operate two warehouse locations and a refrigerated delivery fleet serving accounts across Florida. We own and produce our own brands — Expressed® Juice and Mixology Maker — and distribute roughly 20 additional beverage lines to restaurants, hotels, bars, cafés and retailers.
The role
We're looking for an Warehouse Operations Manager to own the day-to-day running of our warehouses, inventory and delivery fleet. You'll be the person who makes sure orders go out complete, on time, cold, and at the right cost. This is a hands-on role — you'll be on the floor, not behind a desk.
It's also a well-timed one. We're entering a growth phase that will expand our distribution footprint well beyond our current territory over the next 6-18 months. The person in this seat will help build the operational backbone that expansion runs on — which means the job gets bigger as the company does. We'll talk specifics with candidates who reach the interview stage.
What you'll do
- Run daily warehouse operations across both locations: receiving, put-away, pick/pack, staging and loading
- Build and manage delivery routes for our refrigerated fleet across South Florida, statewide accounts and Caribbean export freight
- Manage and develop the warehouse and driver team — scheduling, training, accountability, safety
- Own inventory accuracy: cycle counts, FIFO rotation, short-code management, shrink and damage control
- Maintain cold chain integrity from receiving through delivery
- Keep fleet compliance current — maintenance schedules, registrations, insurance documentation, driver records, incident reporting
- Coordinate inbound containers, freight forwarders.
- Process and fulfill orders coming through our B2B ordering portal
- Track and report on operational KPIs: fill rate, on-time delivery, cost per drop, inventory turns
- Work directly with ownership on process improvement and capacity planning
What we're looking for
- 3+ years managing warehouse, distribution or DSD operations — food, beverage or other perishable goods strongly preferred
- Proven people management experience (teams of 5+)
- Working knowledge of route planning and last-mile delivery
- Comfortable with inventory/WMS systems and strong spreadsheet skills
- Understanding of cold chain handling and food-safety basics (HACCP awareness a plus)
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred — a large part of our team and customer base is Spanish-speaking
- Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work in refrigerated environments
Nice to have
- Experience with export/freight documentation for Caribbean or Latin American markets
- Forklift certification
- Prior experience in beverage or food distribution in the South Florida market
