Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Armed Protection Specialist to ensure the safety and security of our Client's staff, visitors, premises, and assets. Hours of operation are 6:00pm - 6:00am in a alternating schedule. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing thefts, vandalism or other criminal behavior. A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with individuals the Client deems a detriment to their operations. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the Client in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping their facilities, and most importantly their employees and visitors, safe and problem-free.
Primary Duties
- Provide Protection for Employees of Client
- Ability to carry a firearm and make immediate decision to take the appropriate actions to save the life of self or those entrusted in care of.
- Monitor cameras and individuals accessing Client property, to include long periods of sitting.
- Ability to use computers and Microsoft office (Excel, Word, etc.), and send and receive email using MS Outlook.
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures as well as Post orders to include enforcement of client/company rules, policies, and/or regulations.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, clear communication, quality customer service, and sound judgment in reporting and escalating issues.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a small group to resolve urgent issues, process orientated with high attention to detail and triage a problem quickly providing precise/clear information while working under minimum supervision.
- Inform Supervisor and Client of any potential dangers noticed on post.
- Contract Emergency Services if deemed necessary
- Perform periodic and random patrols of property, to include walking, climbing stairs, and driving.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position which may include long periods of sitting, walking, standing, climbing stairs, or driving with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to see, hear, and smell to respond to alarms and detect emergency situations.
- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
- Must be able and agree to maintain a professional appearance while on duty.
- Must be able to move a 50 lb. object 10 yards, quickly navigate 10 stairs, and respond swiftly to emergencies in any environment
- Assist Clients as requested with specific security needs

Physical Requirements
● Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods (up to 12-hour shifts).
● Run throughout large buildings or campuses (up to 300 meters).
● Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, for 10 yards.
● Push, pull, or drag up to 160 pounds, for 10 yards, during emergencies or evacuation events.
● Ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs rapidly with gear.
● Bend, kneel, squat, crouch, crawl, or assume prone positions quickly.
● The ability to meet and maintain the Strategos physical fitness standards is considered an essential job function. Failure to meet required Strategos Physical Training standards may result in withdrawal of offer, reassignment, or other company-approved action up to and including termination.
Required Education/Qualifications
- Minimum of a GED/High School Diploma.
- 2 Years of Armed or Unarmed Security Experience, Military (Combat Arms MOS) or Law Enforcement Experience - For Armed Positions – Ages 21+
- Due to the nature of the position, the Security Agent must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Must hold a valid state driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record for the past five years.
- Must possess exceptional self-control & situational awareness.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, clear communication, quality customer service, and sound judgment in reporting and escalating issues.
- Must be able to pass a background check and pass a drug screening due to the nature of the position.
- Able to pass a Physical Fitness Test
