About the Role
TK&K Services is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Driver System Operator (DSO) to join our civilian fuels management team at NAS Meridian. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting base operations by performing safely executed aircraft refueling, fuel quality control, and routine facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Aircraft Refueling: Safely operate aviation refueling vehicles and equipment to service flight line aircraft in strict compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Fuel Quality Assurance: Assist with daily fuels laboratory tasks, including taking samples, conducting basic quality checks, and maintaining precise fuel logs.
- Vehicle & Equipment Operations: Perform daily pre-operational inspections, routine minor maintenance, and basic servicing of refueling trucks and support equipment.
- Facility & Grounds Maintenance: Perform general housekeeping, lawn care, landscaping, and preventative maintenance across the fuel facility and surrounding work area.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA, military, and company safety protocols, emergency procedures, and environmental protection guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (Commercial Driver’s License / CDL with Hazmat endorsements required).
- Base Access: Must be able to pass a background check to obtain and maintain access credentials for NAS Meridian.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and pulling heavy fuel hoses.
- Skills & Experience: Prior experience in commercial driving, equipment operation, mechanical maintenance, or military/civilian fuel operations is a plus.
- Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and a reliable team player attitude.
- Drug Test: Must pass a pre employment drug test.
