Job Title: Driver
Program: Congregate Care
Salary: $20.00 hourly
General Responsibilities:
The Program Driver supports the Residential Foster Care Program by safely transporting youth and staff to appointments, schools, recreational activities, and family visits. They are also responsible for the maintenance and condition of the assigned vehicle and may be asked to deliver program documents between agency sites. Travel throughout NYC, Westchester, Nassau, and occasional out-of-state trips is required.
Required Skills:
- High School Diploma
- Valid New York State drivers license
- Ability to work assigned shifts. Requires flexibility and availability for emergency and required coverage of the home
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to policies and respond to supervision
- Must demonstrate patience, and social experience in order to permit the formation of a professional relationship and adult role model with children and their families, including those with different religious, cultural, ethnic backgrounds and sexual preferences
