JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the general maintenance and cleanliness of the common areas of assigned facilities, to include the general safety and security of tenants, their employees and customers of the facility.

- Service, clean or supply restrooms and common areas.
- Gather and empty garbage receptables.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
- Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as ensuring doors and windows are locked.
- Notify Supervisor concerning the need for major repairs to facilities.
- Follow procedures on the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Dust and clean windowsills, light fixtures, and other surfaces.
- Clean windows and glass doors to remove fingerprints and smudges.
- Maintain and clean all common areas to include parking lot.
- Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks, such as carpet cleaning and high-touch surface sanitation.
- Refill supplies inventory (e.g. soap, paper towel, bath tissue).
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are maintained and properly stored.
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to facilities as assigned.
- Monitor and patrol the premises, ensuring the safety and security of the facility and occupants.
- Inspect and secure doors, windows, and gates to ensure all entrances and exits are properly locked and monitored.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential security threats.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, providing assistance as needed.
- Maintain a visible security presence, assisting with access management or the removal of unwelcome individuals when necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs and records of security checks, incidents, and any irregularities.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all security protocols, safety guidelines, and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current and valid driver's license.
- Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial work is preferred.
- Prior security experience or training is a plus, not required.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment a plus.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency responses is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and work efficiently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
