Equity Staffing Group is seeking a Pharmacy Floor Technician for a
temp-to-perm opportunity with one of our healthcare clients.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM-12:00 AM
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
The Pharmacy Floor Technician will be responsible for picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist.
Responsibilities
- Fill daily medication orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Pick medications from shelving and designated medication storage areas.
- Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy.
- Prepack frequently ordered medications and properly label and store products.
- Process returned medications and recycle or dispose of products according to established procedures.
- Package medications and other materials manually.
- Alert the pharmacist on duty of medications or products that are not scanning properly.
- Maintain designated workstations and replenish necessary supplies.
- Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA requirements.
- Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
- Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clear and active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.
- Ability to work efficiently at a moderate pace in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy technician experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend throughout the workday.
- Ability to sit or stand for 7-10 hours per day.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Finger dexterity to operate equipment and handle medications.
- Visual acuity to read fine print, distinguish colors, and adjust focus.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed.
