Job Summary
Full service law firm is seeking an attorney for its Freehold office with 3-5 years of experience to join its general practice which includes corporate transactional work, community association law, and collections. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our reputable law firm. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your legal expertise through diverse casework and collaborative team efforts. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and supporting attorneys in case preparation and client consultations. Prior experience with LexisNexis, Westlaw, and legal administrative tasks is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across multiple practice areas.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and memoranda with precision and clarity.
- Assist in preparing cases for trial by organizing evidence, drafting discovery requests, and coordinating with clients and witnesses.
- Provide legal advice to clients under supervision of senior attorneys in areas such as estate planning, family law, immigration law, and others.
- Negotiate settlements and facilitate communication between parties to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
- Stay updated on current laws and regulations relevant to practice areas including tribal law & regulations and environmental law.
- Support the firm’s administrative functions by managing legal documentation and performing general office tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required or pending admission.
- Proven experience or strong interest in multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, or patent law.
- Proficiency with LexisNexis and Westlaw for legal research purposes.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and concise legal documents.
- Strong research skills coupled with the ability to analyze complex legal issues effectively.
- Experience with legal drafting and administrative tasks within a law office environment is preferred.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a focus on client advocacy and resolution strategies.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
