Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a <PERSON>/punch specialist, where your expertise will be vital in ensuring the highest quality finishes and project completion standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, from remodeling to new builds, utilizing your comprehensive skills in carpentry, electrical work, drywall installation, and more. As a key player on-site, you will be responsible for executing punch list tasks efficiently while maintaining safety and precision throughout every phase of construction.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of completed work to identify deficiencies and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Execute punch list items such as fixture installation, drywall finishing, flooring, cabinetry, and trim carpentry with precision and attention to detail.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to complete tasks including concrete finishing, masonry, roofing, and glass installation.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately to guide installation and repair activities.
- Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to prioritize tasks like plumbing, electrical work, stucco application, and restoration efforts.
- Conduct quality control checks during various stages of construction or remodeling projects to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction roles involving drywall installation, framing, roofing, masonry, or related trades.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes.
- Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively.
- Electrical experience including fixture installation and schematic understanding is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform detailed construction inspection and quality assurance tasks across multiple trades such as flooring installation, tile laying, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and concrete finishing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting on complex projects.
- Valid experience in remodeling projects with a focus on building finishing and restoration work.
