Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of food items efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and swiftly
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, dining area, and food prep stations through proper bussing and sanitation practices
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality
- Assist in food presentation and portion control to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service within a quick service or fast food restaurant environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding, and accurate order processing
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus, along with familiarity working in cafés or retail grocery environments
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during high-volume periods
