Roles and responsibilities:
- Day-to-day partnering with operations teams, including project support, development of metrics and ad hoc reporting.
- Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS), labor, raw materials, and overhead costs to develop standard cost models. Validate costing after product design changes.
- Identify and explain monthly manufacturing variances to management. Develop and maintain weekly scorecards to drive performance improvement.
- Assist and own various forecasting and annual budgeting processes for material and direct labor costs
- Assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and cost accounting close activities.
Assists with various ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.
