Job description:
We’re looking for individuals to take part in a paid in-studio reading session. This is a simple reading task where you’ll read a prepared text (short phases) in two different speaking styles. No acting or performance background is required - we just need clear, natural English readers.
What You’ll Do
During your session, you’ll read two versions of a short script:
- One in your normal everyday speaking voice
- One in whisper
This helps us gather different types of spoken material for a research and development project.

Requirements
- Able to read smoothly at a normal or slightly quicker pace
- Clear English pronunciation
- Must sign a standard Release Agreement before participating
- Must be able to attend an in-person session at our Los Angeles studios (East Hollywood or Koreatown/Downtown area)
Compensation
- $90 per recorded session
- Most sessions take 3.15–3.5 hours
- Payment is provided via eGift Card within 8 days
This project is part of ongoing research and may lead to additional paid sessions for selected participants.
