COOK II (JBLM)
$26.79 per hour, Union Benefits, up to 40 Hours a Week.
Duties and Responsibilities: Reports directly to the Lead Cook. Responsible for receiving and carrying out instructions and directions issued by them.
Performs a variety of tasks concerned with the preparation and serving of food:
-Prep and cook food, following the recipe cards.
-Ensure all entrees are prepared according to the Food Service recipe service.
-Maintaining standards of sanitation and cleanliness within the kitchen in compliance with the Tri-Service Food Code.
-Replenish all entrees in the food warmers as necessary.
-Cover, time and date all leftover and place them in the proper storage.
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet service requirements.
-Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, stand, walk, climb, reach, bend and push frequently.
-Must be able to tolerate confined areas, noise exposure, extreme temperatures (hot/cold), dusts, work indoors/outdoors and exposure to minor cuts.
-Must be a citizen of the United States (U.S.) or possess a valid U.S. Immigration T-151 or I-94 Alien Registration Card.
-Must read, write, speak and understand English, and shall be able to understand and speak with every person employed on the contract, and all Government personnel so as to effectively communicate.
- Have reliable transportation that can go on Base.
- **BE ABLE TO PASS A SECURITY BACKGROUND CHECK. ENHANCED DRIVER'S LICENSE.**
Extra consideration desired and given for:
- Current ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification.
- Previous Food Service experience.
