Primary Purpose:
Maintains safety in building through attending to reported situations, monitoring the entry of the building, and overlooking the building-wide cameras.
Essential Functions:
· Enforce the rules of the building.
· Respond to reported emergencies.
· Protect the property from any damaging or physical harm.
· Controlling access to building and protecting tenants and the public.
· Patrolling areas and performing security checks.
· Maintain high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions.
· Follow security guidelines: detect, deter, observe, and report.
· Write security logs to report all ongoing events within the building.
Other Functions:
· Manage parking station to avoid overflow of vehicles at entrance and exit.
· Assist tenants with questions and other inquiries.
Working Conditions:
Indoors, air-conditioned, at front lobby desk
Available Hours:
- 3pm - 11pm
- 11pm - 7am
Equipment Used:
Walkie-talkie, CCTV monitor, and general writing utensils.
Physical, Mental, and Communication Demands:
· Security Guard duties require frequent sitting; require lifting less than 10 lbs.
· Requires General Supervision, direction, and general guidance from executive.
· Customer service duties require assisting customers with inquiries.
· Requires punctual, strong attendance history.
· Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Demonstrate ability to read, write, and speak English.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
In addition to meeting the physical, mental, and communication demands listed above, requires prioritizing tasks without guidance. Have a valid State of Hawaii “Guard Card”
Experience:
One year of security-related experience preferred.
