Job Title: Industrial Painter – Roll‑Off Dumpsters & Containers (Part‑Time)Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable Industrial Painter to join our team on a part‑time basis (30 hours per week). This role focuses on prepping, priming, and painting roll‑off dumpsters, front‑load containers, and other steel waste equipment. Ideal candidates have experience with industrial coatings, spray painting, and metal surface preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prep dumpsters and containers for painting (grinding, sanding, wire‑brushing, pressure washing).
- Apply industrial primers, rust inhibitors, and top‑coat paints using spray guns, rollers, or brushes.
- Ensure proper adhesion and a clean, professional finish on all equipment.
- Mix and match paint colors according to company standards.
- Mask and protect areas not being painted.
- Inspect containers for rust or damage and report issues.
- Maintain painting tools, spray equipment, and PPE.
- Work safely in a shop or yard environment following OSHA guidelines.
- Assist with moving dumpsters or equipment as needed (training provided).
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial painting, auto‑body painting, or metal fabrication painting preferred.
- Ability to operate spray guns, grinders, pressure washers, and prep tools.
- Knowledge of industrial coatings and rust‑prevention products.
- Comfortable working outdoors and around heavy equipment.
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and work quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Work Environment
- Industrial yard and shop setting
- Exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, and outdoor weather
- PPE provided
Schedule & Compensation
- Part‑time: 30 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling within Monday–Friday
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
