Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and material staging
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, pouring, and finishing
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications and ensure proper execution of formwork, rebar installation, and metal stud framing
- Perform concrete work including formwork construction, pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping to create durable surfaces
- Install various building components such as flooring, stucco, plastering, caulking, and other finishes according to project plans
- Support with heavy lifting and material handling to ensure efficient workflow on-site
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for everyone
Experience
- Previous experience working on construction projects or in a related laborer role is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation of technical specifications is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, concrete finishing, and the use of power tools enhances your fit for this role
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently is desirable
- Understanding of construction site safety regulations ensures compliance and promotes a safe working environment
