Job Title: Color Guard Instructor
Reports To: Marching Band Director and/or High School Administrator
Stipend: $4,078 (2026-2027 season)
Schedule: Weekly Rehearsals 6:00 – 9:00 pm Tuesdays & Thursdays and competition days all day
every Saturday. Band camp week in August (Dates TBD) 9:00 – 9:00; Sectionals and Nationals;
Assist with the winter program, if any; Attendance at team meetings
Season: Fall (Early September through Early November)
Experience: Marching arts in general (color guard specifically); DCI and/or WGI experience
preferred. Experience in designing color guard work and choreography preferred.
Position Summary: The Color Guard Instructor will provide instruction, support, and
supervision for the students participating in the EHHS Color Guard.
Responsibilities:

Choreograph the color guard work for the competitive show

Schedule Rehearsals

Adjust to feedback and results throughout the season

Select and maintain equipment and costuming

Assisting with member recruitment for future seasons

Generally be a collaborative member of the design team and instructional staff

Any other task as assigned by the Band Marching Director
