Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our finance team and oversee all aspects of accounting operations. Duties
- Manage and oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant regulatory standards.
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring proper reconciliation, processing, and compliance with internal policies.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain data integrity.
- Conduct financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits & tax filing, providing necessary documentation related to auditing procedures or regulatory inquiries.
- Maintain expertise in financial software system Quick Books platform to optimize accounting workflows.
- Handle confidential information with integrity while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws.
Qualifications
- Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent in work experience preferred.
- Extensive experience in corporate accounting with a strong foundation in GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts.
- Proven track record managing full-cycle accounting processes including general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable management, sales use filing and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in financial software Quick Books (especially Excel spreadsheets), and other financial systems; experience with automated accounting systems is essential.
- Strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements including tax filings and audit procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor teams effectively while fostering professional growth through coaching on complex topics like accrual accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, budgeting techniques, forecasting models, and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with a high level of attention to detail; ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
