Multi-Axis CNC Lathe Machinist (Weekend Shift)

Weekend Shift * Friday – Sunday * 5:30 AM – 5:30 PM * Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours!
A well-established precision manufacturing company located in the Southwest suburbs is seeking an experienced Multi-Axis CNC Lathe Machinist to join its team on the weekend shift. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Mori Seiki CNC lathes maintaining tolerances of +/- .0001
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Follow work instructions and established machining procedures
- Edit CNC programs and use G & M codes as needed
- Complete Quality Checks of completed parts quality using precision measuring equipment and complete documentation as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Qualifications
- 5 or more years of CNC machining experience, including multi-axis lathes – multi-spindle, multi-turret
- Ability to independently set up and operate Mori Seiki or similar CNC machines and controls
- Understands GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Competent at editing CNC programs and using G & M Codes
- ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 experience is a plus
- Machining or related Degree is preferred
