Second Sight Systems is seeking a dedicated and skilled Gas Meter Maintenance Technician to join our team in Baltimore. This position will focus on the replacement of 500G gas meter modules and ensuring that gas meter systems are operating efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and a reliable work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, replacement, and installation of 500G gas meter modules.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety standards, local regulations, and company protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to gas meter systems.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work performed.
- Inspect and test meters to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Adhere to safety policies, including the proper use of protective equipment and safe work practices.
Requirements:
- Clean Background Check: Must have a clean criminal background to comply with company and industry standards.
- Valid Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for travel to job sites.
- Clean Drug Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Maryland OQs (Operator Qualifications): Preferred, though not required.
- Previous experience with gas meter installations or maintenance is a plus.
- Familiarity with relevant tools and safety procedures for gas meter work.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a variety of environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor).

- Paid Training Provided: All new hires will receive paid training in preparation for test to obtain Maryland Operator Qualifications. If the required tests are not passed during training, additional study time will be available on your own, unpaid, with the opportunity to retest.
