A well-established, growing manufacturer of sustainable packaging is hiring Slitter Operators for its night shift in Elk Grove Village. Our packaging protects everyday products across the food, retail, and medical industries, and our team keeps production moving with a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

What you'll do
- Set up and operate slitting and roll-handling equipment to meet customer specifications
- Cut cores to size, then weigh, label, wrap, and palletize finished rolls
- Perform quality checks before, during, and after production runs
- Enter production and quality data into shop-floor systems
- Move finished goods to the warehouse using forklifts and material-handling equipment
- Follow all safety, quality, and good manufacturing procedures (GMP, 5S)
- Communicate machine and job status at shift changes and support the team as needed
- Assist with scheduled preventative maintenance and report any equipment or safety issues right away
What we're looking for
- Able to reliably work a 12-hour night shift
- Read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer and data-entry skills
- Experience with pallet wrapping, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment
- Comfortable using tools and measuring devices (standard and metric); able to read a ruler
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is a plus
- Willing to learn overhead hoist systems
Pay: $23.00 per hour
