The Zia Family Focus Center at Zia Elementary is hiring an enrichment teacher for our after school enrichment program for the Fall semester 2026, August 10- through December 18, and beyond. Instructor will conceptualize and plan for a semester-long class, about 20 class sessions. Each class is one hour long and meets on a weekly basis. You can potentially offer several classes per week.
Seeking an organized, creative individual with lots of ideas for semester long classes. You can create a themed class, or build projects in a specific medium. We are open to ideas for classes. We offer mixed classes for kids aged K-5, but you may propose age-specific classes for K-2 or 3-5 graders. Teach multiple classes, depending on your availability. ZFFC provides the materials, you provide the experience and the creativity. Subjects for classes can be in the realms of visual art, cooking, nature, sports/fitness, science, dance, music... you name it!
You must pass an APS background and fingerprint check and a Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) background check. Experience with students grade K-5 required.
