Position Summary
The Venue by Brix 27 is seeking dependable and hardworking Dishwashers / Kitchen Support Team Members to join our event team. Unlike a traditional restaurant schedule, this position is event-based and scheduled as needed for weddings, corporate functions, private parties, and special events.
This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen, washing dishes and equipment, assisting with food preparation, and supporting the culinary team to ensure successful execution of events serving up to 200 guests.
We are looking to build a team of reliable on-call staff members who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and can be available for evenings, weekends, and special events.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDishwashing & Sanitation
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, serving equipment, and kitchen utensils.
- Maintain clean and organized dish and storage areas.
- Remove trash and recycling throughout events and kitchen operations.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Kitchen Support
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks.
- Portion, package, and label food items as directed.
- Help prepare event equipment, serving pieces, and kitchen supplies.
- Restock kitchen stations and supplies throughout events.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown when needed.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with chefs, cooks, servers, bartenders, and event staff to ensure smooth event execution.
- Maintain a positive attitude and team-first mentality.
- Respond quickly to changing event needs and priorities.
- Assist in other areas of the operation as assigned during events.
Qualifications
- Previous dishwasher or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as events require.
- Ability to work independently while also being an effective team member.
Schedule & Availability
- This is an on-call, event-based position.
- Hours vary based on event bookings and seasonal demand.
- Employees may be scheduled for weddings, corporate events, private parties, brunches, and other special events.
- No guaranteed weekly hours.
- Multiple team members may be hired to provide staffing flexibility for scheduled events.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
