Responsibilities
- Provide individualized therapy sessions to clients, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, encouraging participation and engagement among clients.
- Utilize conflict management techniques to address and resolve issues that may arise during therapy.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers and special education staff, to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to the field of therapy and patient care.
- Incorporate Christian counseling principles when appropriate, respecting the diverse beliefs of clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in patient care, particularly with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
- Background in social work or special education is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and therapeutic techniques such as group therapy.
- Strong skills in conflict management and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.

Pay: $61,372.00 - $93,164.00 per year
