EA Langenfeld, a leader in client representation, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team to direct our current and emerging Sporting Goods and Outdoor Living business. This position will be located near our headquarter office in Mount Prospect, IL. This position calls for an individual who is action oriented with an ability to think strategically while also maintaining a passion for tactical detail level execution. In this role you will be responsible for driving revenue by generating new business with the top sporting goods retailers in the country and assisting our hardware teams penetrate specific 2 step accounts while acting as the client lead for several top outdoor living brands. It will be critical to possess a combination of sales, pioneering, client management, and forecasting skills along with attention to detail.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Achieving revenue goals by serving as a marketing consultant/sales manager that identifies buyer/client objectives and then selling to drive revenue and share growth.
- Developing a business plan for sporting goods and outdoor living that incorporates our client’s objectives to increase client penetration/share which leads to incremental revenue growth.
- Building and managing relationships across multiple buyers, multiple brands, multiple functions (brand marketing, field sales, consumer promotion) and at all levels of the organization.
- Analyzing data to design efficient and effective program solutions.
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s and preferably a master’s degree. A minimum of five years of experience working in the sporting goods/home improvement industry in account management is required with an emphasis on marketing, promotions or sales. We are looking for a self-starting individual that has very strong communication skills, the ability to interface and sell to all levels of management, and a proven track record of developing relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors. Strong analytical skills as well as prior experience in budget management and financial projection is a necessity. Proficiency with advanced Excel and working with Word, Outlook and PowerPoint is mandatory. Prior experience with Salesforce is a plus and some travel is required. #LI-DNI
